About Workshop

Dear colleagues,
 

We kindly invite you to participate in international scientific Workshop «Nuclear Medicine. Physics, Engineering, and Practice» which will be held in Kharkov, Ukraine, starting from September 19th to 21th, 2011. The workshop aims to review the status of nuclear medicine in Ukraine and the developed countries, trends of this branch and to create opportunities for technology platforms to improve and reduce the cost of diagnostic equipment to facilitate widespread adoption of nuclear medicine in medical practice. The purpose of this workshop is to gather scientists and specialists from wide fields connected with Nuclear Medicine to discuss actual problems starting from physical basics and imaging instrumentation to radiopharmaceuticals and medical analyses.

The Nuclear Medicine Conference is sponsored in part by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Energy—with technical support from Argonne National Laboratory—in order to advance nuclear medicine, support scientific and technological research in related fields, and strengthen collaboration between U.S. and Ukrainian scientists.
 

Workshop will be arranged in conjunction with FP7-ERA-WIDE SUCCESS workshop and cover following topics:

1. Modern trends in radionuclide diagnostics
2. Instrumentation for medical imaging
3. Isotope production for medical purposes
4. R&D of pharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine
5. Bio-medical applications
6. New detectors for nuclear medicine

Authors are invited to submit papers describing reviews and/or original results that will be published at the workshop proceedings.
